In january 2005 a friend from Barcelona told me about an organization which inisiates percussion concerts. As a percussionist I was supposed to send them a draft, a cd and a video to show my interest. 

She gave me two months and even though I could not arrange everything in that short period, basically a new idea was born: a one-man-percussion-ensemble: ritmo mundial – one drum - one percussionist, incredible sound - stirring rhythms. 

The heart of ritmo mundial became a drum with a wide ranged spectrum of sounds.

My plan: With my concerts I would give the audience the possibility to step into the wonderful world of rhythm and sound without any show- or performance-aspects.

Pure percussion-concerts are a big challenge, because you work only with rhythms without melodies and harmonics which can be very exhausting for the audience.

Nevertheless I took up the gauntlet to try to reach the audience with the basics of percussion: the rhythm.
